Hello!  My name is Verna Calvert and I am the Third Grade teacher at Pearce Elementary School.  I have been teaching at Pearce Elementary School since 2001.  I have been involved in teaching since 1966.  I taught in Bonita for 23 years, as well as Willcox for 5 years and Fairbrook Elementary in Ohio for 2 years.  I received my bachelor's degree from Cedarville College in Ohio.

My main interests are reading, traveling, my 1963 Nova hot rod, watching the University of Arizona men's basketball team (Go Cats!) and especially my grandchildren!  I have also been a member of the Arizona Reading Association Tucson Chapter for 10+ years.
